Dempsey Hunter Fan is Great Buy

hunterfan.comThe Dempsey Hunter fan looks perfect in our condo. We purchase 3 fans, 2- 44 inches for the bedroom & den; 1- 52 inch for the living room area. There are whisper quite, have a high profile (our old ones has hanging lights.) We have a 9' high ceiling. The remotes are very handy. I don't like that the fan don't have a reverse switch that is easy to change. I have to take the light fixture off, change the reserve switch then replace the lighting fixture. A great buy & wonderful fan.
Great fan but hunter got cheap on the remote mount

My only compliant is unlike other Hunter fans we bought with remotes, they provided no wall mount for the remote control. We have no place to put the remote in the room that people will find so now I have to find and purchase a way to mount on the wall near the original light switch in the bedroom.

Motor makes clicking noise

hunterfan.comThe fan looks fine and the electrician installed it quickly. Unfortunately the motor makes a clicking sound and I will need to take it down and ship it back, then hire the electrician to come back to install it. I'm hopeful that the replacement fan does not have the same issue. I received a very timely response from their Customer Services team.

In 1886, the foundation for Hunter Fans was laid when John Hunter and his son, John C. Hunter, engineered the first water-driven ceiling fan for Tuerk Water Meter Co. in Syracuse, NY. By 1896, they had acquired Tuerk company, transforming it into the Hunter Fan & Motor Co. and launching the AC-powered Tuerk Type A fan in Fulton, NY. Over the years, Hunter expanded its product line to include oscillating desk fans, pedestal fans, attic fans, air conditioning units, air purifiers, humidifiers and even decorative lighting.
