Good looking fixture that has a backplate large enough to cover a large junction box. Easy to install. Diffuser produces a pleasant glow. Great product.

I don't usually write reviews but I am so pleased with this light I thought it would be helpful to anyone who is searching for a really nicely designed vanity light that not only looks expensive, but also gives off a great amount of light. It's even bright enough for putting on make up!

A bit dim....

These vanity lights are really beautiful. We were so excited when we pulled them out of the box. However, once installed they were not as bright as you would expect them to be. If you are looking for a sconce with a lot of task lighting this may not work for you.

Value + Style

We just moved to our dream house--a mid century modern built in 1964. Unfortunately, the previous owners had "improved" the home, meaning removed the classic fixtures and replaced them with c.80s lighting. Having looked at several options, many out of our budget, we were excited to find this light fixture designed by George Kovaks. What a thrill to have a period designed fixture at a price we can afford! But affordability doesn't mean poor quality: this is a well made item. We'll be back for more! We're currently saving for a Kovaks designed floor lamp!

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

Fresh look in contemporary bath

We just renovated our 1960's era guest bath to align w/ the contemporary renovation of our house. It's a small bath, so not every fixture would do. This is a clean, contemporary fixture that does a good job of lighting a small space.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

George Kovacs

George Kovacs was born 1926 in Vienna, Austria. After moving to the US, Kovacs was enticed in 1954 to market J.T. Kalmar lamps. Inspired by the success of that endeavor--and the observed popularity of such contemporary lighting--Kovacs expanded his lighting import and design business (with locations throughout New York).
