The Cody Pendant from Capital Lighting wraps a hand-carved, reversed-flute pattern around a wide drum shade, the texture running continuously around the exterior in a scalloped rhythm that makes the shade itself the defining feature of the piece. The carving gives the mango wood surface an almost sculptural quality, with each flute catching the light differently at different angles. A white acrylic diffuser at the bottom of the shade softens the light output, while a brass chain and canopy connect the pendant to the ceiling above.
