The Ring Bowl by SkLO is a beautiful, broad, handblown design that sits freely atop a smooth, metal ring base. This bowl is created without a mold and is shaped by hand while hot on the glass blower’s pipe, giving it a dense, thick structure. The edge of this shallow bowl is then cut and highly polished to give it its lovely look. The base it is then set upon, which is custom made to fit each bowl, artfully elevates it.

SkLO

Located in Northern California, SkLO is the brainchild of artist Karen Gilbert, architect Paul Pavlak, and Czech-native Pavel Hanousek. The three met in Healdsburg in 2009, and after discovering a unanimous passion for hand-blown glass (sklo means “glass” in Czech), they decided to create a multi-disciplinary studio focusing on glass lighting and accessory design.
