The Cloche Pendant from Niche enhances open spaces with a subtle blend of memorable retro design paired with an airy, open suspension. Reaching down from a low-profile canopy along a single slender cord, it places a simple single socket below, its smooth metal accented by knurled collar elements for a touch of industrial strength. The downward-facing lamping is escorted by a tall dome shade of handblown glass that sweeps down around it, exchanging bright glare for a pleasing ambiance to the sides while casting a single spot of strong, focused downlight ideal for task use through the open base of the shade.

Niche

Niche was founded by accident. In 2003, Jeremy Pyles and Mary Welch were in the process of opening a home furnishings store in Manhattan, called Niche, but couldn't find inspiring display lighting for the storefront. So Pyles designed a glass pendant and had it custom blown in New York (where all Niche products are still hand-blown).
