The Loren 12 Light Chandelier from Maxim Lighting layers rounded, pressed glass disks in overlapping tiers around a central frame. That layout draws on mid-century Italian design rather than a single, simpler shade shape. Each disk has a lightly textured surface, softening the glow from the bulbs behind it rather than leaving them fully exposed. Maxim Lighting

Back in 1965, Jacob Sperling came to Los Angeles to study aeronautical engineering. Inspired by a job working for a lighting retailer, he turned his mechanical skills to the manufacture of lighting fixtures, building them in his garage and selling them out of his station wagon. In 1970, he brought brother Zvi on to help, and Maxim Lighting was born.
