I had installed with a wall switch to control light and speed of fan as I lose my remotes. It lights up the room so well, blasts air and it is so quiet I cannot even hear it. IT LOOKS SO FANTASTIC it is hard to describe. MODERN FAN (the manufacturer of this fan) describes it best. The bamboo blades blend in so well with my decor. I looked for a very, very long time until I found this one. It exceeds all of my expectations. Don't hesitate.
Great Design Great Functionality
I have bought other Modern Fans below mainly for their sleek design and excellent reputation. I bought this one to solve a problem. The heating vent in my living room/ open kitchen area is placed 14' up. I needed a powerful fan to push the hot / cold air down. Wow is this fan a game changer!

The fan has beautiful, clean lines are perfect for our living room. The fan is silent, moves the air very well and the amount of light is perfect. It really completed the room. We installed it ourselves without a problem. Very good quality! Talked to YLighting prior to order due to slope of ceiling and web site not showing exact match for color of down rod and slope adapter. The person I talked to was able to answer all the questions and the exact color match was available. The fan is exactly what we wanted. Will buy from this company again!

Modern Fan Company
The Modern Fan Company was founded in 1997 by industrial designer Ron Rezek in Ashland, Oregon. It was the first (and to this day, only) company of its kind: a designer and manufacturer of contemporary ceiling fans. It was established based on the overwhelming success of Rezek's 1986 design of the Stratos Ceiling Fan, which did away with all ornate brass scrollwork and blade irons standard up until that time.
