We've had this bed for a year now, with no complaints. It is extremely well machined, and is probably one of the best pieces of furniture I've assembled. All of the tolerances are tight, and it went together quickly and hassle free. The slats are individually screwed into the rails, so as a result the bed is completely silent. No creaking whatsoever when you roll around. The bed is also a naturally aesthetic design, and its simple, timeless lines are pleasing. The only downside, is that the perimeter rails of the bed do stick out somewhat, and my wife has occasionally banged her knees into it in the dark. I have occasionally tripped on one of the legs, as well. These factors can be evidently seen in the photos. If these things are a concern, than perhaps one of the manufacturers designs may be preferable. I can certainly vouch for the construction quality, however.
Copeland Furniture
In the early '70s, Tim Copeland began making hardwood cider presses in his garage in East Corinth, Vermont. By 1976, cider presses had given way to butcher block and Adirondack furniture, and Copeland's garage became too small. So Copeland Furniture moved into a manufacturing facility in Bradford, Vermont, for the exclusive production of furniture made out of solid natural hardwood.
