The Brookstreet Pendant from Metropolitan Lighting arranges curved panels of heavily textured handmade glass around a circular brass-finished steel frame to form a drum-shaped shade. Each glass panel has an irregular surface that refracts ambient light as it passes through, giving the fixture a rich visual texture at any light level. Slender cables suspend the drum from a flat ceiling plate, keeping the hardware understated. The overall form is architectural and considered, and the dimmable build allows precise control over the quality of light the glass produces.
