- Leather: Remove ordinary dirt and smudges with a mild soap and water solution and a clean soft cloth or towel. Dry with a soft lint-free cloth or towel. Do not use vinegar, waxes, silicones, alcohol or harsh cleaners. Fabric: Blot spills immediately with a clean, colorfast towel. Spot clean with a damp cloth or sponge, gently blotting to remove excess water, then air dry. For stains that can't be removed as such, professional cleaning is advised. Metal: Use only non-abrasive cleaning rags. Paper towels can also be used, but they tend to leave some lint that is visible when the furniture dries. Dish soap is the best agent for cleaning grime on metal surfaces.
