Based on the name and the description I thought the fixture would actually be made out of wood! I specifically chose it for that reason, but it is really metal that is painted to sort of look like wood grain.

lampsplus.com/I really like this fixture. It works perfectly in my small dining room. I like the mixture of wood and pewter. And I purchased the same light bulbs that were shown with the chandelier. They are so unique/. So glad I had help from Martha at Lamps Plus.
