Elegant, smart, and simple. The BIRD LED Table Lamp by Nemo is a highly refined piece with everyday functionality. Designed by Bernhard Osann, this fixture’s slender silhouette alludes to the look of a perched bird on a table. Composed of extruded aluminum, its T-shaped support is a polymer filled with glass fibers, while its elongated arm contains an integrated LED light strip. The lamp is placed on the edge of a surface and is balanced by a vertical brass counterweight, allowing the structure to move freely but return to a horizontal orientation on its own.
Founded in 1993 by Franco Cassina and Carlo Forcolini in Italy, Nemo was established to recreate the lighting pieces that best represented the "Golden Age" of Italian lighting design of the 1960s and 70s. Nemo acquired ItalianaLuce five years later, offering a line of clean, relaxed modern lighting that provided an informal counterpoint to the vintage mid-century authenticity found in Nemos modernist line of Franco Albini-designed lighting.
