Originally designed in 1930 by Robert Dudley Best of England, the Gubi lighting Bestlite BL2 Table Lamp is a design synonymous with European modernism in the 20th century. Influenced by the German Bauhaus school of thought, Best applied the idea that fine art and craft can coexist to the Bestlite, manifesting in a superbly crafted metal structure with absolute practicality. The smooth aluminum shade seamlessly joins with the curved stem, angling the task light in a casual contrapposto stance.
