The Balaour Floor Lamp from Uttermost rises from a slender pedestal into a curved double-banded frame that opens around the shade. Designed by David Frisch, its antique brass-plated steel brings warmth to the transitional lamp, while the open arch keeps the upper section light. A long, cylindrical hardback shade in light beige linen features natural slubbing that softens brightness throughout the room. The lamp works well beside sofas, reading chairs, or consoles where broader evening light and an airy vertical shape are useful.

Uttermost

The Uttermost venture started in 1975 when Bob and Belle Cooper opened shop in Rocky Mountain, Virginia, largely as a manufacturer of mirrors. Still family owned, Uttermost has expanded to include many more lighting fixtures in their line and has a branch in Riverside, California as well as a strong working relationship with their employees in Guanxi, China.
