I needed a fixture that did not have a screw on the top plate. If there is a screw on the top plate you need to leave room for the screwdriver and the fixture can only be mounted so high on the wall. THIS fixture does not have a top mount screw and it can go to the very top of your wall. It makes all the difference to me in order to achieve a clean look and it is not too common. I looked at a LOT of fixtures. The quality of the fixture is also solid.
