I ordered a floor lamp made by Troy lighting. It arrived in a box the size of a refrigerator that took a large truck and 2 men to deliver. The lamp was defective - it could not be assembled because there was too much wire between the socket assembly and the base of the lamp. I have spent days going back and forth between customer service at Lumens and customer service at Troy (Hudson Valley Lighting). I was finally able to arrange a return, after jumping through hoops, which instructed me to repackage the lamp and drop in at FedEx. Believe it or not, I don't have a huge truck to put the refrigerator sized box into, nor do I have a crew of beefy guys loitering around to move it - a fact I clearly explained to the Lumens customer service representative who initiated the return. After 3 phone calls, I was finally able to arrange a pick-up in a couple of weeks. Meanwhile, I have a refrigerator sized box sitting in my living room, and I have to figure out how to repack this defective merchandise. I will never order from Lumens again, and I advise everyone to avoid Hudson Valley Lighting products - their customer service is the worst, and they don't stand behind their products.

The lamp is shorter than I expected for a floor lamp, but that's my bad for not measuring. It is very interesting and sturdy; however, it cannot be assembled because there is too much wire between the socket assembly and base which won't go into the base. When I called customer service, I was told to email the company. So far, no response. If the lamp needs to be returned, it will involve extensive, complicated re-packing that I won't be able to manage. I expected better quality for the price I paid.
