Originally designed in 2019 as a reading light by Mariana Pellegrino Soto, this version is toughened for outdoor use and uses a slender rod extending from a disc base to hold up a flat shade with downward-flaring edges. This forms a sleek “Z”-shape when viewed from the side, while illumination is provided by an LED lamp set inside the shade casts a bright pool of light at leg level.

Oluce

Founded by Guiseppe Ostuni in 1945, Oluce is one of the oldest Italian lighting companies specializing in iconic contemporary lighting for the home and office. While Oluce lighting has its roots in traditional Murano glass blowing techniques, things changed in the mid-1950s when Oluce moved in a more industrial-minded direction, resulting in highly contemporary designs with an edgy and dramatic flair.
