Light turns off by itself

The fan itself works great. I love the look of it and it is very quiet. Unfortunately, I'm very disappointed with the LED light. I've had the fan for a little over a year and after 6-8 months the light started turning off by itself after being on for a short time. Sometimes it even turns on by itself unless I turned the entire unit off (as opposed to turning off the fan and the light themselves). Very disappointing for the price and all the research I put into this purchase. I wouldn't buy it again.

Modern Fan Company

The Modern Fan Company was founded in 1997 by industrial designer Ron Rezek in Ashland, Oregon. It was the first (and to this day, only) company of its kind: a designer and manufacturer of contemporary ceiling fans. It was established based on the overwhelming success of Rezek's 1986 design of the Stratos Ceiling Fan, which did away with all ornate brass scrollwork and blade irons standard up until that time.
