Graceful form and clean lines impart a minimal, organic look. The Alluria Wall Sconce by George Kovacs features an etched glass orb with a metallic cap that extends to a sleek stem at the top. It is affixed to the wall with a rectangular metal wallplate via a short arm. This shade houses a xenon lamp that produces a diffused glow to illuminate the surrounding. Suitable for damp locations, this fixture can bring a fresh layer of lighting to master baths and powder rooms.

After five months the odd little light bulb failed, and the second one failed within two days. Replacement bulbs can be difficult to find.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend

Love the modern look with the mid century twist to them. They are great for my hallway lighting.

This fixture is much brassier in person than in the photos. We were hoping to coordinate with a Champagne Bronze finish but these were not compatible. The brassy portion is also a bit rough in texture.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

George Kovacs

George Kovacs was born 1926 in Vienna, Austria. After moving to the US, Kovacs was enticed in 1954 to market J.T. Kalmar lamps. Inspired by the success of that endeavor--and the observed popularity of such contemporary lighting--Kovacs expanded his lighting import and design business (with locations throughout New York).
