hunterfan.comThis fan looks modern and is such an update to my old one. It runs quietly and is easy to install and use. The light isn't the brightest but provides plenty of light for us. This fan was purchased to replace a Hunter fan/light that was used daily for 21 years. Hunter is a solid brand and I wouldn't purchase anything else.

In 1886, the foundation for Hunter Fans was laid when John Hunter and his son, John C. Hunter, engineered the first water-driven ceiling fan for Tuerk Water Meter Co. in Syracuse, NY. By 1896, they had acquired Tuerk company, transforming it into the Hunter Fan & Motor Co. and launching the AC-powered Tuerk Type A fan in Fulton, NY. Over the years, Hunter expanded its product line to include oscillating desk fans, pedestal fans, attic fans, air conditioning units, air purifiers, humidifiers and even decorative lighting.
