Go back to basics with a spotlight on talent. The AJ Garden LED Outdoor Long Bollard from Louis Poulsen puts a new spin on Danish architect Arne Jacobsen’s design work. A clever update to the original 1950s design, it started indoors at the SAS Royal Hotel and takes its first steps outside, able to illuminate porches, paths, and other items of interest, ascending from a circular base, transmitting a slender stem to strong lamping anchored by a cylindrical light housing. The modern lines have a contemporary simplicity, while a downward-angled hood adds a touch of sophistication, characteristic of Jacobsen, while keeping the light focused at leg level after it has been diffused through a glass lens.
