The Adrian Floor Lamp from Uttermost, by designer David Frisch, proves that a slim silhouette can still hold its own. Its forged steel frame keeps the look sleek, which makes it an easy fit beside a reading chair or tucked into the corner of a living room. Up top, a round hardback drum shade in naturally slubbed linen softens the glow and adds just a hint of texture. It's refined without trying too hard, and the brand ships it in reinforced packaging so it arrives ready to use.

Uttermost

The Uttermost venture started in 1975 when Bob and Belle Cooper opened shop in Rocky Mountain, Virginia, largely as a manufacturer of mirrors. Still family owned, Uttermost has expanded to include many more lighting fixtures in their line and has a branch in Riverside, California as well as a strong working relationship with their employees in Guanxi, China.
