Key Features

Made in Finland
Classy, refined and yet free-flowing. With a design that mimics water, this Aalto 8.75 In Vase by Iittala is a perfect accouterment to flowers or as part of a dry staging. The quality of hand blown glass is perfectly imperfect – made to show the individual process of each piece without abandoning design parameters. Available in colors from traditional to distinctly modern, these heavyweight glass vases are easy to live with and offer a versatility that cannot be achieved by conforming to standard factory shapes.

I bought this vase in white and it goes with all flowers and stem lengths - small and colorful, big and white. It's worth the price.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

Over the years, this has been my go-to vase for fresh flowers. Because I use it so often, I have broken three, and this is my fourth!. I like the white because you can't see the stems or frogs. It looks great on my Alvar Aalto table and any other surface.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

Iittala

In 1881, a small glass factory was founded in the little town of iittala, Finland. Its blown, pressed, polished, painted and etched glass was high quality...but, at least from a design perspective, not highly original. That all changed during the modernism period of the 1930s and 40s, when famed Finnish designers Alvar Aalto and Kaj Franck became involved in iittala glassware design. From there, iittala made the permanent transition from ornate dinner sets to simplified and functional--yet still highly beautiful--glasses, dinnerware, cookware, vases and other decorative home accessories.
