The 2 Inch X Base Round Bar Table from Emeco helps invite one into the communal space with a figure that’s elegant and efficient. Creator Jasper Morrison approaches each piece by balancing tension and expression with shape and character in what he calls a ‘super normal’ design. This yin and yang design approach shows in the table’s diverse yet distinct outlines. An x-shaped base gets the piece started with a grounding visual and anchoring framework. A column stands up in a trim silhouette that’s comfortable to sit against. The table top draws one’s attention with its impossible slim profile and comfortable rounded edge.

Emeco

Electrical Machine and Equipment Company (Emeco) was founded in 1944 by Wilton Carlyle Dinges in Hanover, Pennsylvania. Dinges' first assignment came from no other than the U.S. government, to manufacture a strong yet lightweight chair that could withstand water, salt air and rowdy sailors. The result was the iconic Emeco Navy Chair, made enitrely out of durable machined aluminum.
