Part of the Le Klint line of modern sculptural lamps from the 1960s, designed by architect and innovator Poul Christiansen. The Illuminating Experiences 167 Pendant is made from hand-folded, color-stabilized White PVC (which is washable and anti-static). Unlike some other Le Klint lamps, the folded pleats of the Le Klint 167 are voluptuous and replete with romance.

This is my second Le Klint Pendant; they provide high style with low maintenace and can fit into either a modern or more traditional home.

Tage Klint pioneered the family handicraft business in Denmark in 1943, inspired by P.F. Jensen-Klint's invention of the pleated lampshade. Tage added the elastic collar to the top of the shade to better keep the pleats from unraveling. The business was passed down to Tage's son, Jan Klint, in 1953, who still runs the company.
