Simple, sturdy, elegant

A gray-blue version of this simple, sturdy, elegant and comfortable chair has resided with its mates on our screened porch for the past month. It's a great chair and my joy in it seems only to increase with daily use. It seemed exactly right when I first saw it, and when I look at it today I cannot think of any way in which I might change it. I recommend it without reservation.
Emeco
Electrical Machine and Equipment Company (Emeco) was founded in 1944 by Wilton Carlyle Dinges in Hanover, Pennsylvania. Dinges' first assignment came from no other than the U.S. government, to manufacture a strong yet lightweight chair that could withstand water, salt air and rowdy sailors. The result was the iconic Emeco Navy Chair, made enitrely out of durable machined aluminum.
