The 030 Armchair, Set of 2 from Ton keeps traditional design alive, providing open accompaniment to indoor living spaces with a vibrant, vintage character. It was originally created in 1930 by Le Corbusier and made today in the Czech Republic. It shows off slender curves of bent beechwood rising and swirling around a circular, solid plywood or woven cane seat. The wood is FSC-Certified, and sustainably harvested, while the curving beech accents around the seat offer surprisingly strong and encompassing support, creating a straightforward design able to inhabit a surprising range of more modern styles.

Ton

Ton is a Czech furniture design company founded by Michael Tonet in 1861. Starting as a bent furniture plant in Bystřice pod Hostýnem, Czech Republic, Ton was renamed to its current name in 1953, standing for “Továrna Ohýbaného Nábytku,” or bent furniture factory. Today, each design is produced in the same factory started by Michael Tonet and his sons in 1861. Dedicated to sustainability, Ton uses only PEFC-certified wood and other natural materials such as cane and leather and focuses on quality control to ensure a long-lasting product that does not need to be replaced.
