Chic and plenty bright. Expensive and lacking sturdiness.

I'm very pleased with the look of this lamp. Also it is plenty bright for my purposes. I bought it to sit next to a chair and provide very good task lighting for reading and knitting. It had to be very sleek and not make a crowded area more crowded. In that respect it succeeds. I do wish it were a little more sturdy. Since I have to swing it in place to use and then put it back out of the way each time I use it it appears to be a bit flimsy, although it is made of quality material. Since one of the selling points is its adjustability, I would have hoped it would feel more sturdy when being adjusted. You also need to learn exactly how to handle the light portion as it's too easy to touch the area that turns the light on and controls the dimming. It's rather expensive for the final product.

I love the sleekness and the flexibility of the lamp. However, although I ordered 'warm', I think that there must be a defect with my lamp because the light is not yellow at all. It is very white and cool. I suspect that there may be a mistake, but I am not going to go through the effort of sending the lamp back to find out. I am otherwise happy with the design of the lamp, the look, and practically speaking, the flexibility that it offers is superb. But I do not like the cool light.
I was also frustrated to see the lamp go on sale a week or so after I bought it. 20% off offered. On top of that, this is generation 3 which I paid full price for. Generation 4 is already released and some places are selling the latest generation Koncept Z bar lamp at the same price. So, overall, very mixed feelings about this whole experience. I am not fully happy, no.

The is the best floor lamp I have ever owned. Clean lined, excellent variability on amount of light, easy assembly and very flexible adjustments. I am planning to order two more because I like it so much.
