Wabisabi Area Rug

Tasteful textures and rustic patterns intersect imperfectly, seemingly at random, with the Wabisabi Area Rug from Nanimarquina, but everything is carefully planned. Designed by Nani Marquina and woven by artisan hands in India from soft, strong New Zealand wool, the design derives from the philosophy of “Wabisabi,” or the belief that beauty is found in imperfection rather than the imposition of perfect order. Each rug is subtly unique, resulting in finding joy in weaving, adjusting warp and weft, and creating a memorable texture, intertwining contrasting colors in different zones, bordered by short fringes at each end to create a dynamic, rustic design.
