Clean, mesmerizing, relaxing. Surround your room with the beautiful pattern of shadows and the generous light of the Victo 4251 Pendant from Secto Designs. This handcrafted piece represents Finnish designer Seppo Koho’s love for turning sketches into wooden prototypes. The piece has a sense of order that touches on Koho’s architectural background. Fine contours flow down with gentle curves, creating a charming, airy dome shade. The piece is crafted in Finland using sustainably harvested Birchwood, the country’s national tree. The natural birch wood slats hide the light on top for a glare-free experience and soften it a touch through its fine openings. Light traveling through the shade creates fine shadows that mesmerize from across the room. The pendant creates a warm ambiance and a generous tabletop glow.

Comments about Victo 4251 Pendant

This review has little to do with the two lights I purchased from Lumens. When I ordered the lights, the website said they were in stock and available to ship immediately. Only after ordering and giving my credit card info, did I receive an email saying it would be six plus weeks before receiving them. After nearly three months and several calls to Lumens to find out where they were--and having customer service not be able to tell me where they were or when we might expect them, I gave up and ordered two similar lights from the same company after getting confirmation that they definitely were in stock. I intended to cancel the original order as soon as I received confirmation of the second order. Timing is everything in life. When I checked my emails, I did indeed have confirmation of the second order AND an email saying the first order was finally on its way to our house. I immediately called to cancel the second order (after a mere half an hour) only to be told that it was too late to cancel the order from 30 minutes ago. Customer service told me to simply get a return label for the second order when it arrived and return it. I was assured that I wouldn't be charged the $175.00 return fee after 3 months of waiting and no one having the ability to track down where it was. Of course, when I received the email saying that you had received the returned set of lights, there was that $175.00 return fee that I had been assured would not be charged. The original lights were to be installed by our electrician and while doing so, he found that a part ( a plastic screw) was missing from one of them. Back to customer service. After my conversation with her, taking and sending a picture of the missing screw and hearing nothing back, I'm not sure we'll ever get the missing part. So, the lights are expensive but lovely, one light is missing a part, and the whole experience was a bit of a nightmare. End result, I won't be ordering any more lights from Lumens. My son-in-law is an architect and had recommended Lumens to some of his clients---after this experience, he's not sure he will continue with the recommendation.

Secto Design

Secto Design was established in 1995 after Tuula Jusélius and Seppo Koho met and discovered a shared passion for northern woodworking and Scandinavian design. The Finnish pair started the brand as an answer to what they considered a missing element of modern design: quality wooden lamps that can be paired well with furniture. Secto Design pieces are made of sustainably sourced birch (the national tree of Finland) because of its unique combination of strength and pliability. What began as a small workshop in Heinola is now a bustling factory designing and producing an array of modern lamps sold worldwide. Secto Design lighting blends traditional woodworking and skilled craftsmanship with innovative and distinctive designs that are recognized throughout the world.
