A floating, semi-spherical lamp. The Vetra LED Pendant by Marset is a Joan Gaspar design that brings a graceful touch to modern living rooms or bedrooms. It is highlighted with a curved shade blown from glass that is finished with a glass diffuser at the bottom. With an LED light placed outside the diffuser rather than inside the shade, this fixture moves slightly away from the standard rules. When lit, most of the light is cast downwards, while some filters through the diffuser into the shade to create a softened glow.

Marset

Marset was established in 1942 as a family business, not making lighting, but as a foundry. That foundation in casting metals did eventually segue into lighting design, however, with Francisco Marset formally establishing Marset Illuminacion in 1965. The decades spent experimenting with and molding metal translated well into the contemporary lighting industry: manipulating all kinds of materials to create unexpected, atmospheric lighting effects.
