Our second fan is great!

Love the Velo DC Fan, it fits the space and aesthetic. Very functional and quiet. Install was easy.

This is a great fan: clean, sleek, and minimal. Just make sure that your installer isn't as dumb as ours and puts the "reverse" option towards the back, so you don't see if when you walk into the room. The illumination is surprisingly bright considering it's only one bulb. The fan is pricey for being a fan, but we don't regret buying.

Should've been a hit, clearly a big miss!
This item is great in the style department, everything we were looking for in a sleek, retro-modern fan but defective in operation & immediately returned. This was, unfortunately, a disappointing purchase as it was the noisiest fan we've ever had! After months of trouble with the Minka model that we've installed in every room of the house, we purchased this fan in hopes of replacing and reducing our headaches; this fan was no better [bummer]! It looks great, appears to be very solidly built as it has an extremely heavy motor housing, very bright light, and moves air extremely well but was very, very loud with a metallic knocking and pinging which had nothing to do with balance issues. Disappointed in the quality at this price point. We have gone on to install a less expensive Emerson model that has been fantastic thus far!
Own two and love them!

I have two versions of this fixture - one with a light and one without. We love both and they look fantastic. I highly recommend the remote control.
Modern Fan Company
The Modern Fan Company was founded in 1997 by industrial designer Ron Rezek in Ashland, Oregon. It was the first (and to this day, only) company of its kind: a designer and manufacturer of contemporary ceiling fans. It was established based on the overwhelming success of Rezek's 1986 design of the Stratos Ceiling Fan, which did away with all ornate brass scrollwork and blade irons standard up until that time.
