The Typha LED Multi Light Pendant by Il Fanale finds both its name and inspiration from the aquatic plant commonly referred to as a Cattail. With a simple, spike-like silhouette, the individual pieces suspended within this design by Fabio Calvi and Paolo Brambilla of Calvi Brambilla capture the shape of this plant, allowing sleek metal stems to cap either end of smooth, tubular glass shades, appearing to pierce their form. The use of cords to support each glass piece gives this design a lightweight sense, reminiscent of the way a field of Cattails can easily sway about in the wind for an artful, bright addition to rooms.
Founded in 1979, Il Fanale uses over 40 years of experience to bring high-quality fixtures to the home. Started by Fausto Dalla Torre and his wife Luisa, each Il Fanale piece showcases a unique and unrepeatable look with a special oxidation process and materials such as brass, copper and glass. From 2015, Marzia and Tomas Dalla Torre run the company, bringing a new Mediterranean style to the product line.
