The Two-Arm Semi-Flushmount from Serge Mouille delights the eyes today with an intriguing dynamism and soft glow, just as it did when first introduced in 1959. Design icon Serge Mouille’s work of the time showcased his love for the feminine form and kinetic sculpture. This ceiling piece evokes the mobile sculptures of the mid-century with a sharp-angled pair of arms. These arms face in opposite directions to create a sweeping silhouette over the room and extend the spread of light. Fitted with bold brass joints, the aluminum shades seduce with steps of pleasant curves. The width of the shades and their painted interior give the outpouring light an evenly diffused quality.

It was in 1953 that Serge Mouille created his first lighting fixture, the now-iconic three-arm floor lamp.
