Tolomeo 7-10-12 Wall Shade

I just returned these lights as I was seduced by the clean lines and simplicity of the design. Upon opening the box, picking up and handling this light I was amazed at how flimsy and cheaply made this fixture actually is. It has a painted on metal finish on essentially cheap plastic. I was very surprised at a fixture with the name Artemide behind getting away with such a cheaply crafted product. Now I know why Ikea does so well but at least you know what your getting in craftsmanship quality for the price. This light is another victim of the MacCheepo world we live in. Seems a bit like how are cars are manufactured these days. Where did the quality and craftsmanship go? Oh yeah did I mention the 30% restocking fee that Artemide has?

These are great in any modern (or even traditional) style home. Very simple and elegant in design, they are also very good quality lamps and cast a lovely light. The only thing I wish was that they could also tilt side to side so I could better direct the light. But overall these are very nice, well made lights that should last a lifetime. I love the linen shade!

Sturdy construction yet appear delicate. Very satisfied with this purchase though wish the sconces pivoted left to right as well as up and down. Would have liked color of shade to be more of a true white vs. the parchment color. Otherwise, they look lovely framing our new headboard in our bedroom.

Beauty is in the simplicity of its design. Quality construction.

The fixture looks great but it only pivots up and down. My clients were disappointed that it does not rotate so you can direct the light at any direction, just not up and down. We have mounted these on the wall above a bed for reading.
