Always a cool, functional classic swing arm for a modern office or bedside.

Eighteen years ago I installed a pair of these wall mounted Tolomeos to flank our bed for use as nighttime reading lamps. They freely articulate to any desired position and stay there with as much or as little light as you need, and without bothering the person on the other side of the bed with too much ambient light. We have used them EVERY night for eighteen years and they have been twisted and pulled and turned every time. They could still be mistaken for new. This lamp is so well designed and thought out that I expect it to be there in another eighteen years. Buying Artemide quality might seem a little expensive at the time of purchase, but when time goes by it pays for itself. If anything does go wrong with it, all the parts are available separately and the repairs are simple and quick thanks to its open design. On top of all that, the lamp looks beautiful and operates perfectly. The best functional lamp ever designed in my book.
