The Timberline Floor Lamp from GUBI has a sinuous, arching form that sets it apart from more conventional floor lamp structures. Designed in the 1970s by Mads Caprani, the curved wooden stem rises from a cast-iron base and sweeps upward to carry a pleated canvas shade, with the cord inset into the body to keep the exterior clean. The adjustable shade direction adds a practical layer to what is already a considered design, one that became an international standout shortly after its introduction.
