In addition to the above comments, we think the base could be weighted slightly more than it is to avoid feeling as if it may tip over, and simply to feel slightly more substantial. Otherwise - perfect.

Great height for a reading lamp. High quality design & construction. Would be better if it had an on/off switch at the head rather than cord.

I love my Tab Floor Lamp and I get a ton of compliments on it but I highly recommend that you look at the specifications of it to make sure it's exactly what you want. I didn't check before ordering it and it's a bit shorter than I expected it would be. Nonetheless, it's completely gorgeous and I think the height is perfect for my apartment.

The design and use are simple, the light is very bright, surprisingly, and the appearance are clean on and off. Due to its relatively low height, it is probably best as a reading light for a lounge chair. We're adding an inline dimmer to take advantage of its potential as an ambient light.

I wasn't sure how the Tab Floor Lamp would look, or whether it would cast enough light when we picked it out. It completely surpassed my expectations. It is very simple and elegant, while still being designed enough to hold its own in our very contemporary house. It sheds a ton of light, and only take up a little bit of room. Its perfect as a bed side reading lamp, but when the shade is still tilted up, throws light across my son's entire room. One thing to watch: its the perfect height for our son's bed, which is a little lower than average. If he had a taller bed, it might not be quite tall enough.
