With the T.O LED Floor Lamp from Pablo Designs, creator Carmine Deganello underscores the idea of the pillar with a column of LEDs and a classic marble base. Deganello’s takes an experimental approach to design, finding the right materials to create unexpected lighting results. Refinement is central to this piece. Deganello emphasizes space efficiency with a slender marble base. While small in footprint, this base is big in personality, producing an artful display of rich veins. The great texture of the marble pops against the sleek, uniform finish of the metal lamp head. This linear head packs brilliant lamping and focuses it through its precision-cut opening. The tall, uniform light exiting the head is great for glazing a wall, décor, or setting the ambiance.

Pablo Designs

Born in Venezuela, Pablo Pardo came to the US in the early 1980s and stayed. After getting his degree in industrial design from the University of Cincinnati in 1986, he designed for companies ranging from Fisher Price to Daimler Chrysler before settling in San Francisco. There he founded Pablo Designs in 1993, a lighting company specializing in refined designs that reinterpret light in its many forms.
