The Strand Closed Pendant Light from Muuto brings a playful, expressive form to modern spaces. A sprayed cocoon material consists of tiny strands for a visually appealing structure that swells into a bowl-like shape like a cloud floating in the room. The single light within the shade diffuses gently through the thin material for a warm ambiance and focuses tightly at the bottom through a precise opening that focuses the light downward.

Soft light with big impact

We wanted something soft and soothing for our primary bedroom which has a vaulted ceiling. It has a soft glow but a big impact and makes the room cozy. We also had this light in our family room in our old house and people loved it.

I needed a pendant light to go over my Saarinen table. It's modern but so simple too. The perfect fit.

Muuto

Muuto was founded in 2006 by Peter Bonnen and Kristian Byrge who wanted to have their products represented in leading design shops around the world. Their name is inspired by the Finnish word “muutos,” meaning “change” or “new perspective,” and it is this concept that embodies the spirit within each and every piece. Their fearless, sometimes exclusive, use of raw materials such as bulbs, plastics, and metals, represents the great diversity, innovation, and character of true Scandinavian design.
