The Spec LED Vanity Light from Maxim Lighting reflects modernist bathroom design principles, emphasizing clean horizontal lines and functional illumination. I installed this over a vanity and it is way too bright. It is blinding to look at so has to be dimmed down all the time. In addition, the dimming only goes to a 50% which is basically where I keep it all the time. On top of that it is poorer quality than I expected for the cost and has a delay when you flip the switch.

Maxim Lighting

Back in 1965, Jacob Sperling came to Los Angeles to study aeronautical engineering. Inspired by a job working for a lighting retailer, he turned his mechanical skills to the manufacture of lighting fixtures, building them in his garage and selling them out of his station wagon. In 1970, he brought brother Zvi on to help, and Maxim Lighting was born.
