The Shimmer Linear Suspension from Minka-Lavery suspends a long rectangular open cage from two rods, with four marbled glass globes arranged in a row along the interior length of the frame. The cage is built from flat metal straps with angled corner joints, giving each end a faceted, slightly tapered profile. The globes hang from a central rail at evenly spaced intervals, all fully visible through the open sides of the frame. The combination of structured metal geometry and organically textured glass creates a considered contrast in material and form.
