Rubix Outdoor LED Wall Sconce

We placed these lights in the aluminum finish for outdoor use during our remodel about 5 years ago. They still work great, and never had any functional problems, however some of the lights now have the plastic veneer on the sides peeling off, and the aluminum color is also coming off. I'm guessing they would have been fine for indoors, but they are not holding up as well as expected for outdoor use.

I had this installed above my garage and I really love this light. It is compact and puts out a lot of light. The construction looks better than the photo on the web, which is rare. It is apparently dimmable to 10 levels but I'm running it on a simple on/off switch. I can't comment on the ease of installation, but it didn't look too bad reviewing the spec sheet. The only downside is that the light is outclassing my old garage and making me think of an exterior renovation :)

This light throws good general uplight on the wall and ceiling (if close enough) but needs a special electronic dimmer which is pretty expensive, at about $80, and the dimmer may need to be special wired to the fixture. All in all, a nice light.
