I got this to replace a very ugly Hunter fan in my bedroom. Its a fairly quiet fan but the Hunter fan was quieter. I dont use it very often though so im glad to have something much nicer looking. Its not that the motor that is noisey - the whoosh of the air movement is noisier.

Beautiful fan but makes a loud hum noise due to the motor being AC. If you want silent, please find a DC motor fan. We removed these fans and consider them defective.
