Designers Ludovica and Roberto Palomba drew inspiration from the natural beauty of traditional Japanese lantern and utilized hand-blown white satin glass and varnished metal as a modern interpretation of rice paper and mulberry tree bark. Slender ridges along the width of the fixture work to diffuse the light emanating from the rounded shade, while its metal top lends a sleekness to modernize the piece.
