Clean and contemporary, the PH 4 1/2 - 3 1/2 Glass Floor Lamp from Louis Poulsen is a product of designer Paul Henningsen's groundbreaking 1920's development of the reflective three-shade system. Utilizing a logarithmic spiral design, he achieved uniform light distribution across the entire curve of the shade. This, along with the diffuse reflection through the glass, allowed for effective control of glare and shadow. Each shade equally diminishes the light output based on its distance from the light source. The largest of the PH floor models currently in production, it's also the only variant that includes an anti-glare ring. Featuring handblown White Opal glass shades that are sandblasted on the underside to promote even light distribution, a highly reflective Chrome plating extends the light downward and outward.
