The metal piece above the rope doesn't hook into the medium length bar so we had to use the chain or otherwise the metal piece would be exposed. The wiring on the second purchase was broken. Unacceptable for such an expensive light. We love the look though.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend

Bought 2 of these for a mud room to add warmth and they are perfect. Wasn't sure how they would look in person, but very pleased. Unique design and they give beautiful light.
