The plastic in this model has been completely re-engineered and molded out of a single piece of dyed polypropylene. It also has a matte surface (the 1959/60 original version has a glossy finish). Finally...a Panton chair that realized one of its creator's primary objectives: a plastic chair as an affordable industrial product.

- Avoid exposing chair to the sun for long periods as the color may change. Use a soft, damp, non-abrasive cloth for cleaning plastic. Gentle drying is recommended. For stain removal, use a mild commercially available cleaner. Never use abrasive cleaning agents such as powders or pastes, or aggressive all-purpose cleaners like alcohol, as these may damage the surface.

I purchased a pair of these chairs and they really liven up my living space! I get many complements on the bold red-orange color and they're surprisingly quite comfortable! I received them in less than a week of ordering them and am extremely happy with my choice! Thanks YLiving!

Comfort, quality, and easy care

We bought (4) of these for a client and we couldn't be happier with the intersection of functionality and style in these chairs. I've always wanted to use this chair in a project and I'm so glad we had a client who was game to trust our vision. Please note we're still awaiting a wall mirror and a rug for this client (due to COVID delays).

Cool chairs

I did think these would be a bit more sleek looking in person (they are kind of wide), but they are so cool looking that it doesn't matter in the end. They are also comfortable which is hard to come by with contemporary furniture. Got them in white and love them.
