Atwater Outdoor Wall Sconce

These lights are perfect for either side of my garage door. Unbelievable quality and exceptional customer service.

I chose this fixture for its classic styling and color. The zinc color appears charcoal, and blends well with the varied tones of the red exterior brick on my home. In doing research for how to choose fixtures for garage openings, I was surprised to learn that they should be at least 1/4 to 1/3 the height of the door. So, many existing fixtures (like mine!) are too small. These are large, but when you step back the size is perfectly in proportion to the facade. We tried both soft white and clear bulbs, and the clear bulbs definitely look better with the shade. They are not included. There is no glass in the sides, so the only protection for the bulbs is the glass shade. The fixtures are not metal, which was a surprise, especially given the price. But, it may be that they will wear better, without rusting, etc.
