The Anglepoise Original 1227 Brass Wall Light adapts the iconic task light to a scaled down wall version, outfitting the fixture with antique brass details and glossy, vintage color schemes. Finely tuned with mechanical precision, the familiar bell shade sits on an adjustable axis, allowing you to position strong down light or slightly angled light from the wall. The Original 1227 yields versatile results; in addition to a hardwired installation, the classic structure comes standard with a brass switch on the matching wall plate.

New Hall Light

The light is great! The color and gold accents are really nice. I've had a bit of a hard time getting it to stay tilted but it's not too bad. The base of the lamp, that connects to the wiring, is smaller than the standard electrical box. That's something to check out before you buy it. Great light and great design!

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

Anglepoise

Anglepoise started in 1899 by Herbert Terry and sons. They originally sold products that used their springs, like toasters, bike seats and spring clips. It wasn't until 1931 when George Carwardine established a theory for using balanced weights with these springs that Anglepoise introduced lighting to the company.
